Trip Highlights - Attractions involved: Badaling Great Wall, Longqingxia Ravine. These 2 places are located not very far from Beijing and can be visited within 1 day. Badaling is surely already well known as the most visited part of the Great Wall of China. Longqingxia ravine is also quite popular among the local chinese tourist and is known as "the little Guilin". It is located about 1-2 hours by car from Badaling. The main attraction there is going with the boat in the ravine, but there are also several other things you can do, such as walking in the water, cart riding or bungee jumping.

Tour Itinerary: (Lunch)
Pick from your hotel early in the morning. First drive to the Badaling Great Wall, one of the most magnificent sections of the Great Wall in Beijing. Hiking on the Badaling Great Wall for 2-3 hours. After lunch, then drive to Longqingxia Ravine in Yanqing County to enjoy ice sculptures and carvings during Longqingxia Ice Lantern Festival. Longqingxia may not compare to the winter wonders of the Harbin, but it's the only ice festival around the Beijing area. In the past over 20 years, it has been held each year. Over 400 ice sculptures made by both Chinese and foreign artists are exhibited there. It is worth coming and seeing. After the Longqingxia and Badaling day trip, you are transferred back to your lodging hotel in Beijing.
