The used goods market on weekend came into existence in 1992, and it is the largest used goods and curios market in China now. It was transformed from a standard old goods trade market in 1997. It is located in the west side of Dongsanhuan Nanlu, Chaoyang District. It covers a total area of 48000 square meters with over 3000 stores. Antiques on sale are mainly folk arts and crafts: porcelain, bronze wares, jade wares, wooden furniture, earthen wares as well as calligraphy, paintings, old books and periodicals, cultural products, old daily necessities, etc. Nearly 10,000 people coming from more than 20 provinces and municipalities are doing business here. And everyday thousands of customers gather here. It is a precious place for gold rush of those Chinese and foreign curios lovers. It has been put into “China Tour Pamphlet” by the U.S. and some European countries. Many tourist groups have designed the market a must of their China tour.
