Jinshanling and Simatai are quintessential sections of the Great Wall in Beijing. Only partly restored, it's less crowded, and provides a unique view of the Wall, watchtowers and magnificent scenery. Simatai and Jinshanling are not easily accessible and the long trek is strenuous, there are only a few people visiting. Funds have been allocated to repair this section, at the same time highway and tourist services have been built. One of the most magnificent parts of the Great Wall is welcoming visitors from home and abroad.

Tour Itinerary: (Lunch)
In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel by your guide for your one day tour. Then take about 2.0 hours to drive to the Jinshanling Great wall in private vehicle. Upon your arrival, hike from Jinshanling Great Wall to the west section of Simatai Great wall. The hiking is about 12km and takes about 4-5 hours. Along the tour, you will immense in the beautiful scenery on both sides of the wall and have a deep understanding of the greatness and spirit of this man-made wonder. Comfortable walking shoes and protection from the weather are a necessity. The car will waiting at Simatai Parking Lot. Get down the hill at the foot of Simatai and then you will be sent back to your hotel in city.

Simatai Great Wall has been acknowledged by the UNESCO as one of the World Cultural Heritages with its fantastic scenery and precipitous topography.
Jinshanling Great Wall
Jinshanling section lives up to its special beauty among China Great Wall by being slightly in ruins. A travel to Jinshanling will give you the vivid image of what the primitive walls looked like in ancient China. Jinshanling Great Wall, located some 140 kilometers to the northeast of Beijing, starts from the the Wangjinglou Tower in the east and ends at Longyukou in the west and stretches about 10 kilometers.
