Beihai Pictures

The very mention of the name Beihai evoked images of shiny, silvery pearls, beautiful beaches, idyllic fishing villages and perhaps even the legendary 'mermaid'... It was one of China's earliest trading ports and the terminus of the maritime Silk Route, dating back more than 2,000 years. it is one of the 14 major open cities along the coast and the only city in the national minority autonomous regions that has direct access to the sea. Furthermore, Beihai is famed for its beaches and ideal as a seaside resort.
