The world famous Terracotta Warrors, buried with Qinshihuang the First Emperor of China, were discovered in 1974 near Xi'an, Shaanxi province. From the pictures, you will know the figues include strong warriors, chariots, horses, officials, acrobats, strong men and musicians. It is estimated that there were 3 total pits for Qinshi huang. But only one pit was dig out and open to visitors at present.

Was the Terra-Cotta Warriors originally in color?

well, the answer is yes. The Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses was in color originally, just fade away after thousands of years and it's hard to tell from the Terra-Cotta Warriors photos
