- White Horse Temple Photos

White Horse Temple, located 12 KM to the Luoyang City, was the first and oldest buddhist temple in China. The temple was established under the patronage of Emperor Ming in the Eastern Han capital Luoyang in the year 68 AD. The temple is the symbol of the city and the layout of the temple still keeps with the founding legend---there are two white stone horses, on either side of the entrance, lie in the first courtyard.

Hi,there. Those pictures of White House Temple looks good! I like horses very much, especially the white one. Sometimes I would like to watch the horse race on TV and I always bet the white one will be the winner! However, this place looks interesting. I've never been there. Would you please what kind of temple it belongs to? Thank you!!!

It is a Buddism temple, and also the first one when Buddhism came to China.
