Wutai Mountain Pictures

Wutaishan is in North Eastern Shanxi Province and represents on of the Great Four Buddhist Mountains. It is considered to be the first of the four based on a written passage in the Avatamsaka Sutra, the most influential of Mayhana Sutras of Eastern Buddhism. This area represents true wisdom and enlightenment. It is the only place where Tibetan Lamaism and Chinese Buddhism are practiced together in harmony.
