In this tour you will have the chance to experience the beauty of Mount Emei, one of the four sacred Buddhist mountains of china. You will climb up the magnificient Emei Mountain. The steep cliffs, lofty peaks and roaring waterfalls are more than ample appetizers to their destination. Only 2 hours' ride starting from Chengdu, one can find himself at the foot of the holy mountain.

Day 01: Chengdu / Mount Emei (L/D)
In the morning, you will be picked up at your hotel and driven to Mt. Emei. Mt. Emei is one of the four mountains in China sacred to Buddhism, and has long been famous in Chinese literature for its spectacular scenery.
Hotel: Emeishan Grand Hotel 4 star (or similar class).
Day 02: Mt. Emei /Chengdu (B/L)
In the morning you will visit the monks at Myriad Years Monastery on Mt. Emei. Buddhist buildings have been erected on Mt. Emei for almost 2000 years, since the introduction of the religion to China in the first century AD. Currently there are over 100 temples and monasteries. In the afternoon, you will make a short trip to see the Leshan Great Buddha. Built over 900 years ago this statue stands at 71 meters tall, making it not only China's, but the world's biggest Buddhist statue. This will be followed by a relaxing river cruise in Leshan before returning to Chengdu in the late afternoon. Afterwards, you will be driven back to Chengdu.

Attraction Description
Emei Mountain, one of China's four Buddhist mountains, is like a huge green screen standing in the southwest of the Chengdu Plain. Looking its beautiful figure, you will find it resembles very much an eyebrow of a girl. Its main peak, the Golden Summit, is 3079.3 meters above the sea level, seemingly reaching the sky, with four spectacles: Clouds Sea, Sunrise, Buddha rays and saint lamps...
