Day 01: Arrive in Kaili
Today, our sincere tour guide will pick up you at the airport or train station. And then you will be driven to your hotel. The rest of the day will be yours to rest and explore the city on your own. Hotel: Grand Dragon Hotel 4 star (or similar class)
Day 02: Depart from Kaili (B/L)
In the morning, you will be picked up from the hotel and shuttled to the Folk Museum located in Kaili. Highly informational yet direct in its delivery, the museum introduces guests to the major ethnic groups in China, including their individual histories, customs, and dress code, etc. Afterwards, you will visit a local Long-Skirt Miao village where you will learn about the traditional way of paper making. Throughout several centuries, the Miao have been moving to different areas of the country. In the 3rd century they went to south Sichuan and northwestern Guizhou; in the 5th century they migrated to western Guizhou and eastern Sichuan; in the 9th century they were taken to Yunnan as slaves and in the 16th century they settled in Hainan Island. The Miao culture is very unique and diversified but all came from one common root. They are especially known for singing and dancing and are very popular amongst themselves and other Chinese.
