Then, you will visit the Tianyige Museum, which is a museum with exquisite garden and ancient architectures. After lunch, you will visit the Moon Lake, which is located in the southewest of the city and is a place full of cultural atmosphere and welcomed by the celebrities in the history. Tianyi Square known as Ningbo Tianyi Guangchang is probably the first place any foreigner visit when coming to Ningbo. It is without any doubt the most popular place in Ningbo downtown. Ningbo Tianyi Square is surrounded by numerous shops (optical, clothes, gifts) as well as 2 appliances stores (Suning) and a superstore (Legou). You can also find in Tianyi Square many Chinese and Western restaurants including chains like Pizza Hut, Starbucks and KFC. Designer stores such as Dunhill, Trussardi, Hugo Boss and Burberry are available in the Intl Shopping Center. There's a children's store called Tomorrow.
Ningbo Moon Lake also known as Ningbo Yuehu is located in the downtown district. It is just 5 minutes walk from Gulou and not far from the Ningbo Railway Station (Ningbo Nanzhan). The Moon Lake is also next to the Tianyi Pavilion and the 5 star hotel, Howard Johnson. The Ningbo MoonLake represents 96.7 hectares of water and parklands with many beautiful gardens and walkways. In existence for nearly 1400 years, the lake is surrounded by many old pavilions and buildings. Ningbo Moonlake is a great place for a picnic, stroll, or a paddle around the lake in one of the boats available for hire.
Tianyi Pavilion Museum is Built during the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644) the Tianyi Pavilion Museum is the oldest private library in China. At one time over 300,000 books were held here. Over time many books were stolen, destroyed or in a state of disrepair. The library offers an insight into the economic ad literary history of Ningbo and Zhejiang province. The Pavilion sits to the side of the Ming Lake.
