This morning, our dedicated tour guide will pick you up at your hotel and firstly take you to the Confucian Temple, which is the largest and best-preserved temple dedicated to Confucius in Gansu Province. Then, you will visit Leitai Han Tombs, in which the most important find was the Bronze Galloping Horse. The horse is depicted in a full gallop supported on just one foot upon the back of a bird in flight. And it has been adopted as a symbol for Chinese tourism. Attraction Description

The Confucian Temple
The Confucian Temple is known also as the Wenmiao Temple in Chinese, located at the southeast of Wuwei City. Covering an area of more than 1,500 square meters, the Confucian Temple is the largest and best-preserved temple dedicated to Confucius in Gansu Province. In 1981 the Gansu Provincial Government declared that the Confucian Temple should be a Provincial Relic Protected Unit and at the same time the Wuwei Museum was established on the site.
Leitai Han Tombs
In 1969 a farmer discovered a tomb dating from the Han Dynasty, which has become a main tourist attraction in the city. The tomb is situated in Leitai Park so the name, as there was a Temple built to honor the Chinese god Leishen on the ten-meter high earth platform that was erected during the middle Ming Dynasty. The most important find was the Bronze Galloping Horse, which has been adopted as a symbol for Chinese tourism.
