Tour Itinerary: (Lunch)
You will be picked up from your hotel at about 8:30am by your guide who will accompany you on your one day tour. Then you will be transferred to the Chuandixia Village, located in the west area of Mengtougou District about 90 kilometers(55miles) away from downtown Beijing. After about 3 hours' drive, have a short rest and fresh up before touring around the ancient village. Then get to a local restaurant to have a simple farm lunch. After lunch, hike on the mountains nearby with the steep stairs and lanes paved with rocks which are simple and unadorned and catch a bird-eye view of the whole villige from the top. You may  also enter the houses of the locals. After the tour, you'll be returned back to your hotel in downtown Beijing.

Chuandixia Village
Chuandixia Village is located in Zhaitang Town in Mentougou District about 90 kilometers from downtown Beijing. As the best preserved ancient mountain village in China, Chuandixia Village is a very interesting and worthwhile destination to visit during your Beijing tour and you would feel like a time travel back to the past. Although the village is originally built during the Ming Dynasty with a history of about 400 years long the constructions are well preserved with more than 70 courtyards with approximately 500 rooms.
