The valley is about 50 kilometers in length. In previous years it had been difficult for visitors to get to Jiuzhaigou due to its isolated location, however this is no longer a concern due to the construction of the road which links the reserve with Chengdu and Jiuhuang Airport, and has made the access to the park easier. Today most visitors transfer at Chengdu onto long-distance buses or flights going to Jiuzhaigou.

Tour Itinerary

Itinerary (B: Breakfast, L: Lunch, D: Dinner)
Day 01: Arrive in Chengdu
Upon your arrival in Chengdu, you will be picked up and driven to your hotel to check in.

Day 02: Chengdu (B/L/D)
This morning, you will be picked up at your hotel by your tour guide and start your tour. First you will visit the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base in the morning, the best time to see the pandas. After that you will visit Wangjiang Tower, the memorial to a female poet of the Tang Dynasty, Xue Tao. This tower is a symbol of Chengdu city. Afterwards, you will be driven to your hotel to check in.
Day 03: Chengdu / Jiuzhaigou / Huanglong (B/L/D)
This morning, you will take a flight from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou. And then, upon your arrival, you will be driven to Huanglong and visit Huanglong Valley.

Day 04: Jiuzhaigou (B/L/D)
After finishing breakfast, your guide will take you to Jiuzhaigou, and once you have entered the park, you will board the bus and visit several scenic spots: Pearl Sands, Rhinoceros Lake, 5 Color Lake, Shuzheng Waterfall and several others. You will also visit a local Tibetan culture show in the evening.

Day 05: Jiuzhaigou / Chengdu (B/L/D)
After finishing breakfast you will be driven to the airport and fly back to Chengdu. Upon your arrival, you will visit Wuhou Temple which was built in the sixth century to honor Zhuge Liang. Then you will visit the home of one of the greatest poets of the Tang Dynasty, Dufu Thatched Cottage. Afterwards, you will be driven to your hotel to check in.
Day 06: Depart from Chengdu (B)
After breakfast, you will be driven to the airport directly for your next destination.
