Algeria, officially the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, is a country located in North Africa. It covers an area of almost 2.4 million sq km (919,595 sq miles) with an estimated population of 34.9 million, most of which are Arabs. The capital of Algeria is Algiers and its official language is Arabic and French. Islam is the major religion. The country supplies large amounts of natural gas to Europe and energy exports are the backbone of the economy. China established the diplomatic relations with Algeria in 1958. They built the strategic partnership in 2004. And since the year of 2006, they have improved their cooperation in many areas like military, health, culture and etc.
