China and Argentina established the diplomatic relations on 19th, February, 1972. Since then the bilateral relations have developed smoothly and the win-win interests cooperations have deepened in many fields. In June and Novermber of 2004, the mutual visits between the two states' leaders Nestor Kirchner and Hu Jingtao achieved an strategic partnership between the two nations. The bilateral relations then entered upon a phase. Till 2007, Argentina was the forth trade partner of China in Latin America, while China was the second one for Argentina. China and Argentina also signed the agreement about the cooperation and exchange of technology, culture, education and press.
