Armenia, officially the Republic of Armenia, is a landlocked mountainous country in the Caucasus region of Eurasia. A former republic of the Soviet Union, Armenia is a unitary, multiparty, democratic nation-state with an ancient and historic cultural heritage. It has a total area of 29,800 km² with a population of about 3.8 milion. The capital city is Yerevan. Armenia is an Agro-industrial country. The economy heavily relies on investment and support from Armenians abroad. It developed diplomatic relation with China on April 6, 1992. The national day of Armenia is September 21th.
