Cape Verde Embassies and Consulates

The Republic of Cape Verde is an island country just off the westernmost coast of Africa, opposite Mauritania and Senegal. It is slightly more than 4,000 km² in area with an estimated population of over 500,000. The previously uninhabited islands were discovered and colonized by the Portuguese in the 15th century and attained independence from Portugal in 1975. China established the diplomatic relations with Cape Verde in 1976, since when China has provided Cape Verde with economic and technical assistance in many items. They have cooperation in many aspects like military, technology, culture and education.
