Colombia Embassies and Consulates

On February 7th, 1980, China established diplomatic relations with the Republic of Colombia. Colombia is located in the northwest of South America and the capital is Bogota. Colombia, named in 1886 after its independence in 1816, holds an independent non-aligned foreign policy, and respect the people's determination to defend the non-interference principle, advocated the peaceful settelment of all international disputes. Colombia's economy is dominated by agriculture, coffee production and export volume ranks second in the world. China and Colombia are going to receive their 30th anniversary on Feruary 7th, 2010 and still have a long way to go to develop stable and healthy deplomatic relations.
