Ecuador Embassies and Consulates

Ecuador and China have had a friendship for more than 100 years. The two nations formally established diplomatic relations on January 2, 1980. Since then, the partnership of cooperation has developed rapidly. In July of the same year, China and Ecuador set embassies mutually. In 2008, the bilateral trade volume had reached to 2.383 billion USD. China mainly imports crude oil from Ecuador, while exports computer, steal, and motorcycles to Ecuador. In 1982, China and Ecuador signed the agreement of official culture cooperation. China has dispatched acrobatic groups, opera groups, and Wushu groups to Ecuador, as well as many Chinese sports coaches to teach there.
