Equatorial Guinea Embassies and Consulates

Republic of Equatorial Guinea is a country located in Central Africa. With an area of 28,000 sq km, it is one of the smallest countries in continental Africa. It has a population estimated at half a million. The country consists of a mainland territory - Rio Muni, and five small islands. Malabo is the capital and official languages are Spanish, French and Portuguese. Equatorial Guinea has a tropical climate with distinct wet and dry seasons. The diplomatic relations between China and Equatorial Guinea was established in 1970; afterwards the bilateral relations of the two countries saw a favorable development. China has already built for Equatorial Guinea the radio station, highway, television centre, power station and so on. From 1984, China started to provide scholarships for students from Equatorial Guinea to study in China every year.
