Ethiopia Embassies and Consulates

Officially known as the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, it is one of the most ancient countries in the world. The major portion of Ethiopia lies on the Horn of Africa. Its great diversity of terrain determines wide variations in climate, soils, natural vegetation, and settlement patterns. China established the diplomatic relations with Ethiopia in 1970. After that it has seen an overall good relationship between the two countries. The economic and technological cooperation between China and Ethiopia was started in 1971 and up to now China has already built for Ethiopia the highway, veterinary station, power station and water-supply projects and so on. Starting from 1988, every year China provided 10 scholarships for Ethiopian students to study in China.
