Guinea-Bissau Embassies and Consulates

The Republic of Guinea-Bissau is a country in western Africa, and one of the smallest states in continental Africa. Formerly the Portuguese colony of Portuguese Guinea, upon independence, the name of its capital, Bissau, was added to the country's name to prevent confusion with the Republic of Guinea. The diplomatic relations between China and Guinea-Bissau was first established in 1974. However, in 1990 Guinea-Bissau built the "diplomatic relations" with Taiwan Authority which made China suspended the relations with Guinea-Bissau since then. The diplomatic ties of these two countries were resumed in 1998 which has been developing normally and fast.
