Hungary, officially the Republic of Hungary, is a landlocked country in the Carpathian Basin of Central Europe, bordered by Austria, Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, and Slovenia. Its capital is Budapest. Hungary is a member of OECD, NATO, EU, V4 and is a Schengen state. The official language is Hungarian, which is part of the Finno-Ugric family。It has a total area of 93,030 km² with a population of about 10.2 milion (January 2007). It developed diplomatic relations at ambassadorial level with China on October 6, 1949. The national day of Hungary is Augest 20th.
