Lesotho Embassies and Consulates

Lesotho is called "kingdom in the sky", high in the mountains of Southern Africa, unique in that it is an independent nation completely surrounded by South Africa. Lesotho offers the chance to enjoy spectacular mountain scenery and Africa’s majestic beauty. China and Lesotho established diplomatic relations in 1983. In 1990, the Lesotho military government resumed the "diplomatic relations" with Taiwan, which led to the severance of China-Lesotho diplomatic ties. In 1994, Lesotho rebuilt the diplomatic relations with China. Since then the bilateral relations between the two counties have enjoyed smooth development. The Chinese government has completed 9 aid-projects in Lesotho including vegetable planting, methane technical guidance and the National Convention Center.
