Liberia is situated in West Africa, bordering the north Atlantic Ocean to the country's southwest. The history of Liberia is unique among African nations, because of its relationship with the United States-used to be a colony by the American. Liberia was traditionally noted for its hospitality, academic institutions, cultural skills, and arts/craft works. Trade, economic assistance and cooperation have always been important factors in China and Liberian relations. Particularly since the resumption of bilateral relations in 2003, the Chinese Government has tried its best to promote bilateral cooperation and trade and provide assistance within its capacity to Liberia in fields of education and human resources development, agriculture, health, infrastructure and etc.
