Nauru Embassies and Consulates

Nauru is island country located in the South Pacific, nicknamed 'Paradise islet'. With an area of 24 square kilometers, it has about 13,000 population (according to the statistics in 2006). On 21st, July, 2002, China and Nauru established the diplomatic relations. Zhouchouwen, the Assistant of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of People's Republic of China and Rene Harris, the president of Nauru signed the the Joint Communique in Hong kong, In which Nauru acknowledged People's Republic of China is the only legal government of China. However, Nauru re-established diplomatic relations with Taiwan in May, 2005. Hence the diplomatic relations was broken between Mainland China and Nauru.
