St.Lucia Embassies and Consulates

As one of the Windward Islands of the eastern Caribbean, St. Lucia lies just south of Martinique, on the boundary with the Atlantic Ocean. The volcanic island of Saint Lucia is more mountainous than many other Caribbean islands. Because it used to switch so often between British and French control, St.Lucia was also known as the 'Helen of the West Indies'. The population of Saint Lucia is of mostly African descent. The culture of Saint Lucia has been influenced by African, French and English heritage. China established diplomatic relations with St. Lucia in 1997. 2007, St. Lucia resumed the so-called diplomatic relations with the Taiwan Authority, which lead China severed the bilateral ties with St. Lucia after that.
