Gyangtse Maps

Gyangtse, also spelled Gyantse, is a town located in Shigatse Prefecture with its geographical coordinates of 28°56' 60 N/89°37' 60 E and 3,977 meters in elevation. Gyangtse has a population of approximate 8,000 people since 1952. Gyangtse is strategically located in the Nyang River Valley on the ancient trade routes and 254 km southwest of Lhasa and on the Friendship Highway connecting Kathmandu to Lhasa.
