Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province, is prefecture-city located in the Yangtze River Delta. It's 180 kilometers southwest of Shanghai. Hangzhou is well-known for the stunning West Lake in the downtown. The geographical coordinates of Hangzhou are 30°15' 19" N/ 120°10' 8" E with an area of 16,847 square kilometers. Hangzhou was the terminus of the Ancient Grand Canal which linked Beijing and Hangzhou.
