Itinerary (B: Breakfast, L: Lunch, D: Dinner)
Day 01: Arrive in Hohhot
Upon your arrival in Hohhot, you will be picked up at the airport and driven to your hotel for rest.
Day 02: Hohhot (B/L/D)
Today you will first visit Provincial Museum to view some ethnic Mongolian artifacts. Afterwards you will visit the Dazhao Lamasery, followed by the famous Five Pagoda Temple and Zhaojun's Tomb. After that you will be driven back to your hotel.
Day 03: Hohhot / Grassland (B/L/D)
Today you will first visit the Grasslands and Pastures and have local food for lunch. Afterwards you will watch the local people wrestle, shoot arrows and ride horses. In the evening, you will eat a traditional Mongolian Lamb dinner and be serenaded by Mongolian singing and dancing. In the evening you will stay in Mongolia Yurts.
Day 04: Grassland / Baotou (B/L/D)
This morning you will be driven to Baotou. There you will visit Resonant Sand Bay. You will slide down the high sand hills and hear the sounds of an unexplainable phenomenon. Afterwards you will visit Wudangzhao, the residence of the highest ranking lama in Inner Mongolia. After that you will be taken to your hotel to rest.
Day 05: Baotou / Erdos (B/L/D)
This morning you will be driven to Erdos. There you will visit the Tomb of the Greatest Mongolian Leader, Genghis Khan. Here you can view the coffins that contain his and his wives remains. Afterwards you will be driven to your hotel for rest.
Day 06: Erdos / Yinchuan (B/L/D)
Today you will be driven to Yinchuan, the capital of Ningxia. After your arrival, you will check in a local best hotel for rest.
Day 07: Yinchuan / Zhongwei (B/L/D)
Today you will leave Yinchuan and to Zhongwei where you will see 108 Buddhist Pagodas, which are 2.5 to 3.5 meters tall. They are arranged on the mountain to form a colossal triangle, in rows of increasing odd numbers.
Day 08: Zhongwei / Yinchuan (B/L/D)
After eating breakfast, you will visit Western Xia Tombs on the way back to Yinchuan. They are the largest and best preserved imperial cemeteries in China. After the tombs, you will see the Cliff Carvings at Helan Mountain and then be brought to Yinchuan.
Day 09: Depart from Yinchuan (B)
After breakfast you will be driven to the airport for your departure to the next destination.
