9-Day Shanxi Culture Exploration Tour

Itinerary (B: Breakfast, L: Lunch, D: Dinner)
Day 01: Arrive in Beijing
Arrive in Beijing, your guide will pick you up from the airport, then transfer to your hotel to check in.

Day 02: Beijing (B/L/D)
Today you will visit Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, the largest and most intact structures of the imperial palace. After lunch, visit the Summer Palace. In the evening you will attend a famous Chinese Acrobatic Show.
Day 03: Beijing (B/L/D)
The highlight of today's tour is a trip to the Great Wall of China, the only man-made structure on Earth that can be observed from the moon. After lunch, you will visit the Ming Tombs, the burial site for 13 of the Ming emperors. For dinner, you will enjoy the famous Peking Roast Duck.

Day 04: Beijing / Taiyuan (B/L/D)
Morning fly to Taiyuan, visit the Jinci Temple---the most famous of all the historical relics in the city and Twin Pagoda Temple in the afternoon.

Day 05: Taiyuan / Pingyao (B/L/D)
Morning excursion to Pingyao by coach (2-hour drive), a well-preserved ancient city listed by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage in 1997. Visit the Shuanglin Temple, City Wall and Ri Sheng Chang Exchange Shop. After lunch, visit Ming-Qing Street and Courtyard Residence.
Day 06: Pingyao / Taiyuan (B/L/D)
Free at leisure in the morning. After lunch, coach transfer back to Taiyuan, and on the way, you can have a view of the Qiao Family's Compound, which is a yard for the business man in Qing dynasty. Overnight in Taiyuan.

Day 07: Taiyuan / Shanghai (B/L/D)
Morning flight to Shanghai. Upon your arrival, your guide will pick you up from the airport and take you to visit the Oriental Pearl TV Tower.

Day 08: Shanghai (B/L/D)
Today's excursion takes you to Nanjing Road,the Bund, the Yu Garden, and the well-known Temple of City Patron.
Day 09: Depart from Shanghai (B)
Today will be free for you to explore this city on your own. Later in the day you will be brought to the airport to take a flight to your next destination.
