Itinerary (B: Breakfast, L: Lunch, D: Dinner)
Day 01: Arrive in Lhasa
You will arrive at the Gonggar Airport and be greeted by your tour guide. Then you will drive to Lhasa and have a rest at your hotel in the afternoon.
Day 02: Lhasa (B/L/D)
Your guide will take you visit Jokhang Temple, the Carpet Factory and The Tibetan Traditional Hospital. Afterwards you will visit Norbulingka Park. Afterwards you will be taken back to your hotel for the remainder of the evening.
Day 03: Lhasa (B/L/D)
Today you will visit the Sera Monastery. Afterwards you will then visit the Potala Palace, constructed in 637 by Songtsen Gampo, the first king of united Tibet. Later you will visit a Tibetan family and then be taken back to your hotel for the remainder of the evening.
Day 04: Lhasa / Gyangtse (B/L/D)
This morning you will leave Lhasa and drive to Gyangtse. On the way there, you will take a rest at Yamdrok Yumtso Lake. Then you will visit Gyangtse Old Street upon arrival to Gyangtse, and also see Palkhor Monastery. In the evening you will be brought to a local hotel for the night.
Day 05: Gyangtse / Shigatse (B/L/D)
In the morning you will drive from Gyangtse to Shigatse, the second largest city in Tibet. You will first visit the Tashilhunpo Monastery, one of the six largest in Tibet. Next you visit the New Palace of Panchen, built in 1447 by the Panchen Lama. Afterwards you will be driven back to your hotel.
Day 06: Shigatse / Lhasa (B/L/D)
Today you will drive back to Lhasa and be taken to your hotel for the remainder of the evening.
Day 07: Depart from Lhasa (B)
If there is time before your flight, you will visit The Tibetan Museum. Then you will be taken to the airport for your return flight home.
