-Travel to Beihai

Beihai, known as an excellent travel city, is located on the Beibu Gulf at the southern end of Guangxi Province and covers an area of 3,337 square kilometers. As early as 2000 years ago, Beihai was active in China's foreign economy and port trade. Even from the Han and Tang Dynasties, it was one of the famous starting ports of the Marine Silk Route and made a positive profit to the city's economy. It is establishing its status as an important port city in modern times, which makes a gateway between China and other areas in Southeast Asia and West Asia. In1984, Beihai was approved as one of the coastal cities further opened to outside world.

The city is a pleasant gift from the nature with the lush vegetation. With the clean and uncountable beaches, travelers can enjoy a series of interesting activities there, including simply relaxing and soaking up the sun, waterskiing or exploring the highly interesting and volcanic Weizhou and Xieyang Islands. Among a lot of marvelous beaches in this area, Silver Beach as its representative is the combination of sea water, sunshine and beach, being an ideal place for leisure. Also, in the morning, travelers can feast their eyes with all types of sea food provided in the fish market or at the seashore.

Thanks to its extensive beach with fine and white sand, clean and warm water, gentle waves, off-shore islands, pleasant ocean breezes, mangrove forests, coral reefs, and popular resorts, Beihai has become a destination city for seaside travel. For most travelers it is also a stop on the way to Hainan or to Vietnam.
