Nanchang is a place easy to be ignored by most westerners travelling in China. However, it attracts many Chinese visitors to travel by its glory history and culture. Nanchang, as the capital city of Jiangxi Province, was built in 202 BC and has a vibrant history for more than 2,200 years. Situated in the lower reaches of Hanjiang River and Fuhe River, facing the Boyang Lake, the city enjoys a moderate climate boosting rain and four distinct seasons. The best time to travel in Nanchang is during spring and summer, when guests will enjoy the most beautiful side of the city.

Referring to the beauty of Nanchang, travellers will surly mention the ecological areas, green belts, scenic spots and amusement parks. Amongst them, the most famous spot are the eight lakes situated in both the urban areas and outskirts of the city. Besides the lakes, the city is full of mountains, plains and hills within the city. Nanchang not only boosts clean water and air, but also has a number of rivers running through it, including Gan River and Fu River. The famous ancient Shengjing Pagoda, Tengwang Tower and Shui Guan Yin Pavilion are all regarded as the symbol of the city.

The city itself is now mainly an area that is used by travellers as a transit point. From here, one can take excursion trips to the famous summer resort, Lushan Mountain, and China's porcelain capital Jingdezhen. Besides, Nanchang is also well known for its heroic role in China’s recent history: the communist-led August 1 Nanchang Uprising took place here in 1927. I am particularly interested in Chinese Porcelain, knowing there is a capital of Porcelain called Jingdezhen nearby Nanchang. I will be Nanchang for business, can I travel there from Nanchang? Frank from France.
