Xuchang, is a prefecture-level city in central Henan province. It borders the provincial capital of Zhengzhou to the northwest, Zhoukou to the east, Kaifeng to the northeast, Luohe to the southeast, and Pingdingshan to the southwest. It has around 4,500,000 population and 5,000 square kilometers.
