Question Source>China Visa :I'm going to China in March and just in the process of applying a visa. But a china visa website I had visited asked for airlines information. I'm wondering can I get a visa without airline reservations.
Answer: I think that website hadn't updated their website since the Olympics, when flight ticket and accommodation were required to apply a visa. Now most nationalities do not need to show reservations in order to get a visa.
Question Source>Tianjin Xingang Port Transfer Service :Our ship Diamond Princess Cruise will dock at Tianjin Port for a day on Dec.19. We are from United States and would be interested in taking this time to visit Tianjin City. But we should be back to the port by 5:00 latest. Could you help us make this tour possible? Answer: We receive many cruise passengers from the liners dock at Tianjin Port and help them arrange their tours. Based on our experience, your time is a little bit of tight, because it is 40-minute’s driving from Tianjin Port to city downtown. However, we try to make an initial itinerary for your reference. Question Source>Badaling Great Wall Tours :Is it a reasonable expectation to visit the Great Wall whilst spending time on a stop-over in Beijing? I assume that Badaling is the closest point to Beijing to view the wall. Can anyone advise me regarding this. How much time within one day would I need to allocat to a brief trip to the Great Wall?
Answer: Usually its a day trip or much of the day. Badaling takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to get there and we spent about 2 hours on the wall. This was in a private car not a public bus.
Question Source>Mutianyu Great Wall Tours :I am going in August to Beijing, China. The Great Wall is a must. After reading some travel books and listening friends’ suggestions, most people recommend Mutianyu. So, is there anyone who has been to Mutianyu Great Wall is it better than the other sections in Beijing?
Answer: Mutianyu, bit further out than Badaling. No public transport. The restoration work isn't overdone - it has a more authentic feel. There are the watchtowers dotted on the hills in the distance. Scenery is lovely. Not that crowded.

Question Source>Juyongguan & Badaling Hiking :Am going to Beijing on a tour in mid March. I am on a morning tour to the above section of the Great Wall. Any tips on what I should see in such a short time? Also, is the cable car open or enclosed in Juyongguan?
Answer: Juyongguan is the closet section to downtown Beijing. I think 2 hours will be enough to hike on Juyongguan Grea Wall. There’s no cable car on Juyongguan.
