With the rapid development, Leshan has been updated and attracted millions of domestic and overseas visitors to come and travel there. It has become one of the famous travel cities in the southwest area. Leshan, literally means "Happy Mountain" in Chinese. It is a city with a history of more than 3,000 years, located in the southwest area of Sichuan province, about 175 km southwest of Chengdu. Leshan is a national historical and cultural city, and also an excellent scenic travel city. This small city has recently undergone major reconstruction work but fortunately remains a pleasant place to travel and take a look at the biggest Buddha in the world!

Leshan Giant Buddha is the most famous attraction in the city, which made the city to be one of the international cities with the world renowed travel attractions. Travelers coming to Leshan or Emeishan Scenic Areas will have no worries about transportation. There is Chengdu-Kunming Railway Line running through Leshan City. The sea route Leshan-Yibing-Luzhou-Chongqing is very convenient for traveling by water. Moreover, the highway network ensures convenient ways of getting to Leshan and reaching each of the scenic spots within Leshan and its environs. Whether tourists travel by road, sea or train, they will have a pleasant journey.

Leshan has many scenic and historical spots such as the Mount E'mei and Leshan Giant Buddha, the small Three Gorges of the Min River, the Black Dragon Pond, and the Sansu Clan Hall. There are still some pretty little streets and markets to explore here, and modernization has made the town a relatively clean and invigorating place to spend a few days and the climate and landscape here endow Leshan with abundant natural resources.
