-Travel to Dalian

Dalian does deserve its title as the "Romantic Capital" and "Northern Pearl of China", which has been one of the most popular China travel destinations. Dalian is situated on the tip of Liaodong Peninsula in the northeastern part of China, facing the sea on three sides. Dalian is comprised of a series of bays and islands. There are as many as 705 islands of different sizes, covering a total area of 30,000 hectares. The flourishing coastal city of Dalian is the third largest port in China and one of the most prosperous cities. Declared a Coastal Open City in 1984, it is home to major shipyards, oil refineries, diesel engineering plants, and factories for textile and chemical products.

Over the last 20 years, Dalian's emphasis on its environment has highlighted the travel industry of the city. The city's buildings are most particularly attractive with a colonial legacy of Russian, European and Japanese architecture. Abounding with lush gardens, architectures, beaches and summer resorts, the city is as close to paradise as you are going to get. Amongst the travel attractions in Dalian, the most popular are Bangchui Island, Tiger Beach, Fujia Village and Baiyu Mountain. There is also the Golden Pebble Beach Holiday Resort, where one can get a glimpse of the unique "turtle-shell" rocks.

Unlike some China ancient cities, Dalian offers a totally different experience for visitors. As a modern travel city, Dalian is famous for fashion, football and its annual beer festival. It is one of the country's cleanest cities, with its greatest feature of stunning natural scenery. The sunny beach and clearly demarcated seasons make it the pleasant resort in summer. Dalian has gained the name the 'Hong Kong of Northern China' and enjoyed an upsurge in bars, pubs and clubs in recent years. The various squares in the city are popular nightlife venues for local people. In the evening, parents with children, young lovers, elder people and sightseeing tourists come to squares to stroll, play tennis and to exercise. They usually stay till midnight. Though not as flourishing as those in Beijing, bar and pubs close to Wuwu Road and Sanba Square areas in the city are still one of the main choices for local people and tourits.

Thanks for your asking. You can take the bus No.712 and get off at Dangdai Company Station, then walking 20 minutes on foot, Currently the only way to get there is to go by taxi, which costs around RMB8. And it opens during 8:30 ~ 17:00.
