-Travel to Guizhou

Guizhou is a place which is not familiar with foreign travellers even when they dig the guide books for a long time. Whatever, it is a place may amaze you in a different way if you have the chance to travel there. Guizhou Province, located in the southwest China mainland, covers an area of over 176,000 square kilometers with Guiyang its capital. It enjoys subtropical humid climate, has few seasonal changes. The weather is frequently cloudy and rainy all year round without either summer nor winter. Guizhou has brilliant history, culture and the pleasant climate condition form a unique, aboriginal, unsophisticated and mysterious landscape which is attracting more and more visitors to travel there, both domestic and international.

Many foreign travellers to Guizhou find communicating a bit of a challenge as few people speak English. So many of them people get around the language barrier by hiring a guide. Those who travel to Guizhou often desire to see Huangguoshu Waterfalls first, one of the world's most spectacular. Other popular travel attractions include: Dragon Palace, a cave with Karst (Limestone) landscapes, solemn steep cliffs and jagged stone forest; the Zunyi meeting site where the Chinese Communist Party reached maturity in 1935; Hongfu Temple, the most famous and largest buddha temple in Guizhou; Buddhist mountain of Fanjing and rivers that have been creating canyons for millennia.

However, scenery is only part of the travel experience in this amazing place - ethnic villages interspersed throughout add to the allure. Guizhou is the home for more than 15 minority ethnic groups and most of the amazing scenic areas are located in these settled minority areas. Travellers can not only enjoy the beauty of nature, but also experience the colorful costumes of the ethnic minority groups, such as the group dance by Yi people, wine song and bronze drum by Bouyei people, the Torch Festival, and the Dragon Boat Festival, etc. Below is the detailed guide to Guizhou attractions. Feel free to contact us if you plan to travel there. We will provide the professional advice, individual itinerary and excellent travel service.

Hello, I have heard that the karst landscape in China is very amazing. So could you please recommend a place to visit it?

Thank you for asking. Shibing county, Guizhou province is a great choice. Shibing’s karst landform has always been regarded as an excellent formation of the world’s tropical and subtropical dolomite karst. Dating back to 570 million years ago, it has slowly developed from an ancient dolomite into a typical gorge karst. It was nominated as part of the South China Karst World Natural Heritage site in 2008.
