Victoria Bay is a natural landform Bay situated between Hong Kong Island and the Kowloon Peninsula in Hong Kong. This key location is what brought the British to Southern China and led them to occupy Hong Kong Island during the First Opium War and establish a colony and trade post here. This area is also very important to the local Hong Kongese. Today, being a major trading center. Throughout its history, the harbour has seen numerous reclamation projects undertaken on both shores, but still retains its founding role as a port for thousands of international vessels each year. The Harbour bustles with all manner of watercraft – from the historic Star Ferries to cruise liners, cargo ships, and wooden fishing vessels day and night.
The Harbor covers an area of about 41.88 Kilometers as of 2004. The eastern boundary is generally considered to be the line formed between the easternmost extremity of Siu Chau Wan and A Kung Ngam. It is also one of the busiest harbors in the world and with Hong Kong's beautiful skyline right nearby; it also makes for one of the most beautiful harbors as well. The panoramic view of the harbor is spectacular, both during the day and at night. Passing through the harbor are several ferries, container vessels, pleasure boats and others, always offering something exciting to see.
There are four sites for grand harbour view in Victoria Bay. Long famous for its stunning panoramic views, the harbour is a major travel attraction of Hong Kong. Victoria Peak With a height of 554m, the Peak is the highest mountain in Hong Kong. Victoria Tower on the Victoria Peak can be counted as the best place to view the enchanting night view. Avenue of Stars, situated along the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade for spectacular harbour views, was built to honor the most illustrious people the Hong Kong film industry has produced over the past decades. Golden Bauhinia Square is located outside the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on the Wan Chai waterfront. Surrounded by Victoria Harbour by three sides, it rests at the center of the Harbour, making it a great site for harbour view.
