Xihai Scenic Area Guide

Xihai Scenic Area is the most well-known travel site of Mt. Huangshan. Past several nearby peaks, travelers can arrive at the Cloud-dispelling Pavilion and get the most commanding view of the spectacular local scenery. These natural wonders turn the whole West Sea into a living art gallery. When the sun sets, the whole valley basks in a light, giving the area its other name of the Yellow Mountains. Sea, long known as the Mystery Valley for its clusters of peaks and fathomless depths, has been opened up as the White Cloud Stream Scenic Area. Tourists may go to Qianxun Falls via the Hook Bridge Nunnery and the Shy Spring. The highest falls in the Yellow Mountains, Qianxun Falls are 140 meters high, and is ice free all the year round. The thunderous falls can be heard at Swan Rock near the brook and where one can also have a look at the "Immortal Walking on Stilts".
