Shanxi Maps

Shanxi Province is situated in the middle of the Yellow River valley. Its location west of the Taihang Mountains gives the province its name, Shanxi, meaning "west of the mountain". It borders Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Henan, Hubei, Sichuan, Gansu and Ningxia. It shows in the province map that Taiyuan, the capital city, locates in the middle of the area.
