Suzhou, located in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River Delta, with Shanghai to the east and Hangzhou to the south, is a well-know travel and cultural city with 2500-year history. It has also been an important centre for China's silk industry and continues to hold that prominent position today. Now, it has become into a major center of the joint-venture high-tech manufacturing and currently boasts the most promising economies in the world. The Suzhou Industrial Park and the Suzhou New District are the home of many international level companies.

There is an old Chinese saying that comments on the atmosphere of Suzhou: "Paradise in the Heaven, Suzhou and Hangzhou on the Earth". Suzhou's mild climate, fertile landscape and abundance of produce, make it an available travel destination all year round. The city is celebrated for its beautiful pagodas, stone bridges and exquisitely designed gardens, which leave a memorable impression to the guests who travel there.
