Harbin Climate

Harbin, lies on the southern bank of the Songhua River, is the capital city of Heilongjiang Province. The city located in the northeast of China and enjoys the temperate continental monsoon climate. Harbin has four distinct seasons with long cold winter and short cool summer. The high season in Harbin is winter from December to January and Febuary next year, it is the best time to visit Harbin. During this period, the average temperature can drop to -25 degrees celsius or even lower and guests can enjoy the winter activities

outside. Snow starts as early as November and the coldest month is January. Guests need to wear thick down jacket to keep them warm when they enjoy the skating, skiing and ice vehicles and in touch with the white snow world in Harbin. The summer period in Harbin is very short, guests can enjoy the cool summer from July to September every year there. The temperature in summer is around 25 degrees celsius. Whereas, The rainy season in Harbin is July and August, which accounts for 60 to 70% of the annual rainfalls in the city. The spring in Harbin is from March to May, which will has the strong wind and a sudden temperature change.
