Situated at mid-latitude in the eastern side of the Eurasian Continent, Jilin Province has a continental monsoon climate of the temperate zone. There are four distinctive seasons in the province with rainfall and hot weather occurring in the same season. It is dry and windy in spring, hot and rainy in summer, In fall the sky is clear and the air is fresh and cool, in winter it is cold. From the southeast to the northwest, the climate shifts from humid, semi-humid to semi-dry climate. The temperature, rainfall, wind and natural disasters vary

greatly  in different seasons and places within the province. The average temperature of the whole province remains below -11ºC in winter and above 23ºC in summer. The annual temperature difference in the province usually ranges from 35-42ºC while the daily difference is usually 10-14ºC. In autumn and spring, jeans and a sweater are usually enough. Shirts for the summer. You need warm clothing like down coats in winter. The average annual rainfall stays 400-600 millimeters, but varies greatly from season to season and from area to area. 80% of the rainfall comes in summer and the greatest volume is in the east. Spring and autumn are favorable for visiting.

What's the weather like in Jilin in May? Temperatures and rainfalls on average?

The weather in Jilin is medium in May. Highest temperature is 21.7 and lowest 7.9 celsius on average. The rainfalls is 53.8mm on average.
