Kaili Climate

Kaili, the capital of Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture in southeast of Guizhou province, is located at the foot of Mt. Miao, on the bank of the Qingshui River, and spans an area of roughly 1300 square kilometers. The climate of Kaili belongs to tosubtropical monsoon climate zone, which is charaterized by cold, humid winter and cool summer. The weather there is very humid because of half of the year sees rain. It enjoys four distinctive seasons. The annual temperature is 16ºC, with an upper limit of 26ºC at the height of summer, and a coldest point of 4ºC.

It has abundant rainfall and longer frost-free period. The best seasons we suggest to visit Kali are from March to May and from September to November. If you visit Kaili in the monthes of May, June, July, August, and September, you need to take a raincoat and umbrella with you, for it is in the rain reason. It is a little cold in December, January, February, you need to wear warm. But it is always sunny in winter.
