Nanning Climate

Nanning is located in the southern part of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the city is on the north bank of the Yong River, the chief southern tributary of the Xi River. It is a small basin surround by mountains. Nanning's climate is sub-tropical and monsoonal. Rainfalls are somewhat frequent there, even in the hot summer; while snows are seldom. You do not need to worry about dryness in summer or coldness in winter. The mild climate makes the city green all year, hence its name 'Green City'. The annual average

temperature is about 27.7ºC. The hottest season is July with a maximum temperature of 28.2ºC with an average annual rainfall of 1300 milimeters. Winters are humid and chilly with 10°C average lows in January. Shirts and jeans would be suitable all year round. if you are visiting the city in spring or summer time, when heavy rainfall can be expected, taking an umbrella with you is a good idea.
