Zhangmu Climate

Zhangmu Town also known as Kasa, lies on a mountainside 10km (6 miles) inland from the Friendship Bridge that spans the Bhotekoshi River and also lies in the southern piedmont of the median Himalayas, about 776 km away from the capital of Tibet Lhasa. It is the boundary bridge connecting the two countries, there stands the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu. Zhangmu, with an average altitude of 2300 meters, enjoys a sub-tropical season with the annual average temperature of 8.2ºC. You’d better wear sunglasses, and suntan lotion to avoid the heat of the sun. Jeans, coats and windbreakers as well as long-sleeve shirts would be necessary.
